Prevent P/N S/N Received with a Tax Incentive Number to be Issued to a Customer Order

Switch Set to Yes:

When set to Yes, a Part Number Serial Number with a Tax Incentive cannot be issued to a Customer Order (S/O, R/N, X/O) if it was received into inventory within the specified year limit. The year limit is specified in the Config Number field of this switch.

Tthe following Requisition was created for a part. Notice that a Tax Incentive was added to the part.

The required part is then purchased through a Purchase Order. Notice that the same Tax Incentive number was brought into the P/O once the above Requisition was specified.

From the Inventory Detail window, notice the date that the ordered part was received into inventory.

A Rental Order is then created for a customer for this part.

Note: This switch's functionality works for al Customer Orders: Sales Orders, Rental Orders, and Exchange Order Outs.

Notice the date that the Rental Order is being placed. The R/N will also be issued on that same date.

From the Inventory Transaction window, the Rental button is selected for the above P/N S/N. This button is selected to issue the part to the Rental Order.

But because that date is within the year limit specified in the switch's Config Number field, the following warning message prevents the part from being issued to the Rental Order.

If the part were being issued to the Rental Order after the year limit, then there would be no error.

Switch Set to No:

When set to No, a Part Number Serial Number with a Tax Incentive can be issued to a Customer Order regardless of when it was received into inventory.

The required part was purchased through a Purchase Order. Notice that the P/O has a Tax Incentive number.

From the Inventory Detail window, notice the date that the ordered part was received into inventory.

A Rental Order is then created for a customer for this part.

Notice the that the date that the Rental Order is being placed. The R/N will also be issued on that same date.

Although the part was received into inventory within the specified year limit, the part can still be issued to the Rental Order.
