Repair Order linked to Engineering Control's Attachments

Switch Set to Yes:

When set to Yes, a Repair Order will have the same attached documents as its associated Engineering Controls if the E/C's Classification transaction code has the MANDATORY Property checkbox selected.

Notice that the following E/C has documents attached and its Classification is 'Mandatory.'

Now notice that the 'Mandatory' tran code has the MANDATORY Property checkbox selected.

The same E/C is linked to the following Repair Order (because they share the same Part Number). When the Document Control button is selected for the Repair Order, notice that the Engineering Control's documents are linked to the R/O. The documents are linked because the MANDATORY Property checkbox is selected for the E/C's Classification.

If the MANDATORY Property checkbox is not selected for the E/C's Classification, then the E/C's documents will not be linked to the associated R/O. Notice that the following E/C has documents attached and its Classification is 'Required.'

Now notice that the 'Required' tran code does not have the MANDATORY Property checkbox selected.

The same E/C is linked to the following Repair Order. When the Document Control button is selected for the Repair Order, notice that the Engineering Control's documents are not linked to the R/O. The documents are not linked because the MANDATORY Property checkbox is not selected for the E/C's Classification.

Switch Set to No:

When set to No, Repair Orders will not have the same attached documents as their associated Engineering Controls.

Notice the above R/O does not have the same attachments as its E/C (regardless of that E/C's Classification).

The following R/O does not have its E/C's attachments either (regardless of that E/C's Classification).
