SPEC2K/AUTHAMOUNT - Remove Authorization when Updated P/O Exceeds User's Authorized AmountRemove Authorization when Updated P/O Exceeds User's Authorized Amount Affected Window: w_po_order_header_eu
The switch is used in conjunction with the Spec2000 interface when 'Spec2000 S1ORDEXC Remove Auth' is unchecked in the Company Profile Spec2000 Configuration. Also notice that the user making to P/O total cost changes has an order authorization limit.
Switch Set to Yes: When set to Yes, when 'Spec2000 S1ORDEXC Remove Auth' is not selected via the Spec2000 Configuration button of the Company Profile window, the P/O will need to be re-authorized if the amount is changed and exceeds the amount the user is authorized for Purchase. Notice that the following P/O is currently authorized. From the P/O detail, notice the current Total Cost. When the quantity is adjusted, notice that the Total Cost is also increased. Notice that this new Total Cost exceeds the user's order authorization limit. The following warning message pops up because of the user's order limit. Select Yes to release the order for authorization. The order is then sent for authorization and a message is sent via the Spec2000 interface. From the P/O header window, notice that the order is not longer authorized. A user with an acceptable authorization limit must authorize the order.
Switch Set to No: When set to No, when 'Spec2000 S1ORDEXC Remove Auth' is not selected via the Spec2000 Configuration button of the Company Profile window, the P/O will not require re-authorization if the amount is changed and exceeds the user's authorization limit. Notice that the following P/O is currently authorized. From the P/O detail, notice the current Total Cost. When the quantity is adjusted, notice that the Total Cost is also increased. Notice that this Total Cost exceeds the user's order authorization limit. The order line is then saved. But because the switch is set to No and this is part of the Spec2000 interface functionality, the order does not require re-authorization. |
