INC1WAYPCKLST - Include One-Way Forward Interchangeable Parts in PicklistsInclude One-Way Forward Interchangeable Parts in Picklists Affect Window: w_picklist_header_eu Note: This switch's functionality will not work if the Picklist is created for a Third Party Work Order.
Switch Set to Yes: When set to Yes, available One-Way Forward Interchangeable parts are automatically reserved in lieu of its Main part when a Picklist is created for the Main part. This takes place automatically if the Main part is not available at the required Location but the One Way part is. Note: The part must have the correct setup (i.e. A/C Effectivity, E/C On Condition Compliance, and Inventory availability) for the Yes setting of the switch to function correctly. Notice the Main part to One-Way Forward Interchangeable part relationship. At the following Location, the main part is not in stock. However, at the same Location the Main part's One-Way Interchangeable part is available. The following production Work Order Task Card is set up at the same Location with a P/N Requirement of the Main part. A Picklist is then created for that required part. The Picklist Location is the same as above. Because the Main part is not available at the required Location, notice that a Picklist automatically reserves the available One-Way Interchangeable part. From the Inventory Transaction window, notice that the One-Way Interchangeable part is reserved for this Picklist.
Switch Set to No: When set to No, available One-Way Forward Interchangeable parts are not automatically reserved when a Picklist is created for a Main part. Notice the Main part to One-Way Interchangeable part relationship. At the following Location, the main part is not in stock. However, at the same Location the Main part's One-Way Interchangeable part is available. The following Work Order Task Card is set up at the above Location with a P/N Requirement consisting of the Main part. A Picklist is then created for that required part. The Picklist Location is the same as above. Because the required Main part is not available at the Location, a Requisition is created instead of a Picklist, even though the One-Way Interchangeable part is available at the required Location. Notice that the available One-Way Interchangeable part has not been reserved. |
