ETOPS code

Note: Switch NAFEPNETOPSAC must be set to No in order for this switch to function correctly. Further, Switch ETOPS must be set to Yes in order for Switch NAFEPNETOPSAC to function correctly.

Note: Parts with a higher ETOPS rating can be issued to or installed on aircraft with a lower ETOPS rating. For example, a part with an ETOPS rating of 180 can be installed on an aircraft with an ETOPS rating of 120.

Switch Set to Yes:

When set to Yes, users are allowed to issue parts that are not ETOPS rated to aircraft that are ETOPS rated.

Upon creating a Manual Issue for the P/N that is not ETOPS rated to an A/C that is ETOPS rated, a soft warning message appears. Selecting ‘OK’ allows the user to continue with the Manual Issue.

Switch Set to No:

When set to No, a hard warning message will appear and not allow the issuing of a part that is not ETOPS rates to an aircraft that is ETOPS rated.

Upon creating a Manual Issue for the P/N that is not ETOPS rated to an A/C that is ETOPS rated, a hard warning appears preventing the user from completing the Manual Issue.
