A/C Button, via Engineering Control

Select the A/C Control button within Engineering Control for a specific E/C to populate the list of aircraft with effectivity to the E/C. the List populates with options to assign aircraft as Applicable, Not Applicable or an option to Issue to (alternative effectivity for line numbers not to be assigned effectivity to the E/C). The Applicable option is updated to provide links Engineering Control panels to update and/or override E/C Range Effectivity, Status, Warranty Range and Scheduling controls.

 

Audit Button, via Task Card

Select the Audit button to view the Task Card history and a list of all changes made against the Task Card. The tree-like view allows the user to expand and collapse each record per transaction. This window allows the user to print and email the results of the audit.

Select the Audit button to prompt a window that displays all changes made to the record. Users can expand and collapse the records to their liking. Additionally, this window allows users to print and email its content.

The Effectivity button allows users to define A/C effectivity for documents attached to a Task Card. The system will limit attached files to only those aircraft with effectivity to the attachment.

Next Ground OP checkbox - Select this checkbox to signify if a future ground operation is necessary. Selecting this option will make the Ground Time Required field mandatory.

Min Yield % - The Min Yield % field is used to make planners more effective so as not to perform an E/C too early. For example, if an E/C has a schedule of 100 days with a Min Yield % of 90% when the E/C has accumulated 90 days of actual time (usage from the last compliance) the planner will be flagged in Planning via the Due Date/Min Yield Date.

Note: The Warning % Due field has been renamed the Min Yield % field.

Note: The Min Yield % is used when calculating the Min Yield Date of the E/C in the Planning Control app.

Max Yield % - The Max Yield Percentage in planning calculates a date the planners do not want to surpass based on the max percentage from Engineering (even though this date is not technically the E/C’s Due Date). For example, if an E/C has a schedule of 100 days with a Max Yield of 95% when the E/C has accumulated 95 days of actual time (usage from the last compliance) the planner will be flagged in Planning via the Max Yield Date.

Import Link E/C with T/C button, via Task Card Selection

 

The Import Link E/C with T/C button imports button allows users to link E/Cs and T/Cs at the Task Card level using the appropriate .xslx file.

The Import T/C Items imports button button allows users to mass import items to a desired Task Card using the appropriate .xslx file format.

The Import Task Cards imports button button allows users to mass import and override preexisting Task Cards available within the main application.

 

Mass Authorize Pending TCs Button, via Task Card Authorization

Process Queue - When a T/C Mass authorization is prompted into the system, the transaction will be processed via the Print Queue window. Users can continue using the platform while the changes made are saved in the background. The progress can be monitored in the Print queue window and will display in three stages: In Progress, Completed, or Failed.

New Task Card Express Button, Attachments Tab

 

The Attachments tab is used to attach images, documents, web links, and TraxDoc references to a record. Once the Task Card Express record is saved, users can view attachments against the Task Card.

The Manual tab is used to associate any maintenance manuals that may be required to carry out the work. Other documents, such as drawings, can also be listed. The system can produce a list of all the documents required once a Work Order has been created.

Note: The system will auto populate the A/C Type/Series fields with the values associated with the selected Zone code. However, if the Zone code has more than one A/C Type/Series associated with it, then the fields will remain blank.

The Survey tab allows user to set up survey questions against a Task Card. These questions can be configured as optional or mandatory. If mandatory, once the Task Card is attached to a Work Order, the Task Card can not be closed until the survey question is answered.

Range Import Button, via Engineering Control Range

 

The Range Import import engineering control range button is used to mass import effectivity to the E/C via a .xsl file. This button can be used to import A/C or P/N effectivity depending on the window it is accessed (i.e A/C imports via the A/C E/C Effectivity window and P/N imports via the P/N E/C Effectivity window).

Note: From Version 7 and onward, the Maintenance Manual button, Attachment button, and Survey button have been moved from the Sub-Function menu and are now available in the Task Card Window's Option bar.

The Task Card Express button allows users to view and edit existing Engineering Task Cards quickly and efficiently. The Task Card Express window is a slimmed down version of the Task Card Selection and Task Card Detail windows. An existing Task Card record must be highlighted before selecting the Task Card Express button.

T/C Phase - The W/O Phase associated with the Task Card. Select this field to choose from a list of phases currently available in the system, via Drop Down Selection window.

Note: Phases are set up via the 'Task Card Phase' transaction code. Users can add, remove, or otherwise edit records available within this transaction code.

T/C Quick Reference Section

STK UOM - The Stock Unit of Measure (UOM) setup for the Part Number (P/N) assigned to the Task Card.

 

T/C Revision Compare Button, via Authorization History Tab

The Compare button allows users to compare any past Task Card Revision to the current Revision of a Task Card. The Task Card comparison will only display the changes between Revisions and ignore data that remained the same. The Revision comparison will reveal all changes at the T/C header level including material requirements and Task Card Effectivity.

The View button allows users to see a past Revision of the Task Card in a query view.

When set to Yes, if the Attachment button is selected from the Task Card or W/O Task Card or W/O header window, the Effectivity button will display in the Attachment Control window. When set to No, if the Attachment button is selected from the Task Card or W/O Task Card or W/O header window, the Effectivity button will not display in the Attachment Control window.

Engineering Transaction Codes

 

E/C Category

E/C Must Contain Task Cards checkbox - When selected, an Engineering Control using this E/C Category cannot be be released for authorization if it is not linked to any Task Cards. From the Engineering Control Management window, when the Release for Authorization button is selected, a warning stating 'E/C contains no Task Cards' will prevent the E/C from being released.

ROS Classification Code - The ROS Classification Code.

M (Mandatory) - When the Classification Code is 'M', whether the RO Control checkbox is selected or deselected, the user may not edit this Code.

O (Optional) - When the Classification Code 'O' is selected, the user may change the code from the drop down menu. If the user deselects the RO Control checkbox, the ROS Classification Code becomes null or blank.

D (Improvements) - When the Classification Code 'D' is selected, the user may change the code from the drop down menu. If the user deselects the RO Control checkbox, the ROS Classification Code becomes null or blank.

R (Recommended) - When the Classification Code 'R' is selected, the user may change the code from the drop down menu. If the user deselects the RO Control checkbox, the ROS Classification Code becomes null or blank.
