Missing Parts ProcessThe Missing Parts Process is utilized to flag a part as missing, or not physically in the appropriate location/bin, or designate it as lost in the Inventory Transaction and as a part of its Transaction History. Upon being flagged as missing, the P/N can be found in the Missing Parts Queue, where it can be scrapped or deemed lost or found. If distinguished as lost, the part's financial information is adjusted accordingly, and can be brought back into Inventory, along with all of its information, through a P/N Initial Load. The following process flow is a general guide for the configuration of missing parts and the various transactions they could go through. This life cycle may vary depending on each user and their company's customized protocols. The following sections are the primary elements covered in this process flow:
