Exchange Order ProcessThe Exchange Order allows the user to create exchange orders when exchanging components with a vendor. An example of this is receiving a serviceable part from a vendor for an unserviceable part in return. The order must be created first. Following this, the serviceable part is to be received from the Vendor first, and the unserviceable part is to be sent to the vendor in exchange, in either order . From the completion of the issuing or receiving, whichever comes last, the process is complete. Note: The Process Sequence of Receiving and Issuing an E/X is dependent on the user's company procedures or situation of requiring a serviceable P/N. For example, in an emergency, like AOG, a P/N of an E/X may need to be received before an unserviceable P/N is issued in exchange. However, per a company's policy, a P/N of an E/X may be required to be issued to a Vendor before a serviceable P/N can be received. The following process flow is a general guide for the configuration, creation, issuing, and receiving of the Exchange Order life cycle.
