Managed A/C and Inventory Process

The manage parts functionality in the system allows a maintenance organization to manage parts in their inventory that are owned by a particular owner and are to be used only for a particular customer’s aircraft.

The parts management setup process is a follows:

An Inventory Owner is designated for a customer in the Customer Master.
Ownership Control is set to ‘Managed’ and a Customer is selected for the particular aircraft in the Aircraft Master.
The Owner’s parts are loaded into the system via the Inventory P/N Initial Multi Load, where the parts are assigned an Owner and the ‘Manage’ designation is set for the parts.
These managed parts can now only be issued to a 3rd party W/O for the aircraft of that particular customer.
