Employee and Skill Creation ProcessThe Employee option is used to record details on employees in the company. Employee information is also used for other options, such as recording Employees on Aircraft Defect Logs and the updating of Task Cards, Work Orders, etc. It is mandatory to create an Employee entry in order to set up a security ID and Authorization Levels on the system. During the creation of an Employee record, Skills that are created in the system can be associated. The areas that use skills are Task Cards, Work Orders, and Training. This option will allow the user to set up all of the Skills that will be used in the system, for Task Cards and for work. The skill codes are set up with their cost and sell rates that are used to calculate actual costs of Work Orders performed on the system. These codes may be standard within the company, or may be industry recognized codes. The following process flow is a general guide for the configuration and creation of the Employee and Skill records. This life cycle may vary depending on each user and their company's customized protocols. The following sections are the primary elements covered in this process flow:
