TCEFFECT - A/C Effectivity At Task Card Level

A/C Effectivity At Task Card Level

Affected window: w_task_card_eu

emro-png-TCEFFECT-Gen-Tab-Desc

Switch set to Yes:

When set to Yes, the system recommends that Engineering Control effectivity be associated with new Task Cards and warns users when E/Cs and T/Cs have different effectivity.

eMRO_Engineering_Yes

After initially setting the switch to Yes, a system generated Questionnaire/prompt queries as to whether the user wants to apply the A/C effectivity from E/Cs to their related Task Cards. Select the required radio button and Submit the configuration setting.

When set to Yes, the system will recommend that Task Cards have A/C effectivity. Create a new Task Card via menu pathway Engineering > Update > Task Card Selection > New Detail.

2-Task-Card-Select-New-Detail

Notice that when the switch is configured to Yes, the Effectivity button is listed as an option within the Sub Function drop down menu. Effectivity for the Task Card can be readily assigned using this function.

3-Task-Card-Sub-Function-Effectivity

Likewise, with the switch set to Yes, the user can search the effectivity for a specific Task Card. Notice that Task Card number 5-20-150-00-01 is populated in the window below and the Effectivity button is available for selection.

Once the Effectivity button is selected from within an existing Task Card record, the Aircraft Effectivity detail populates. Notice that the associated effectivity table image below includes the aircraft number, type, series, description and status.

Also, when the switch is configured to Yes, the system provides a warning prompt when the user saves a Task Card to an Engineering Control for which the effectivity differs.

The switch functionality also provides advisory messages throughout the Task Card process. In the example below, a new Task Card was selected via the Production > WO > Task Card > New Detail menu pathway. The system automatically prompts the user to associate the new Task Card with an Existing E/C.

Switch Set to No

When set to No, the system does not automatically recommend associating the Aircraft Effectivity of Engineering Controls to new Task Cards and does not warn the user when E/C and T/C effectivity differs. Also, when setting the switch to No, the system merely acknowledges when the configuration is saved without further effectivity warning. Additionally, the Effectivity button will not be available from within the Task Card Sub Function drop down menu.

eMRO_Engineering_No

Notice the Task Card image below that the Effectivity button is no longer available from within the Sub Function drop down menu.

1-Task-Card-Sub-Funct-no-effectivity-avail

Notice below that a Task Card was associated with an E/C with unrelated effectivity. The system saved the record without generating an automated warning prompt.
