Defect Report Detail

The Defect Reports are used to create Reliability Reports. The ATA Chapter/Section associated to defects will show any issues associated with the aircraft system. Additionally, Defect Reports can trigger Recurrent Alerts for the Reliability module. Recurrent Alert levels must be defined in the ATA Specification.

The Defect Report must be created to send an Alert to the Recurrent Items queue. For additional information, refer to the Recurrent Item Explorer via the Reliability Training manual.

Note: In the case where a Defect in the Technical Log of the A/C has been reported and closed in the same entry, the General Tab should be completed first (mandatory fields at least) and then the Resolution Tab should be completed. The Status of the Defect Report will then be 'Closed.' No additional information needs to be entered to commit this to history.
