ECM is one of the most effective methods to maximize engine on-wing time and reduce engine removal and repair costs. The ECM tab allows for the recording of the ECM data that is then used to detect aircraft deterioration at an early stage and allow for corrective action before safe operation is affected. Once the data is collected via the system, an interface program must then be used. There are several ways to obtain the data necessary to perform an ECM analysis; manual recording of engine parameters, or automatic capture of data are both possible.
