The Defect Report Detail, Recommendation tab is used to communicate recommendations to mechanics regarding the repair of a defect that is to be accomplished. Once a Recommendation record has been saved by selecting the Archive button it will be be displayed in the Defect Report, History tab.

This window is security controlled via Technical Records/ Update/ Recommendations Tab. For more information refer to the Security Explorer via the System Administration Training Manual.

The following information/options are available in this window:

New button

Select this button to add a recommendation record.

Delete button

Select this button to delete a recommendation record.

Attachment button

Select this button attach a document to a recommendation record.

Notes button

Select this button to add a note to a recommendation record.

Archive button

Select this button to archive the recommendation record which will be displayed in the Defect Report, History tab.

Recommendation Description

The suggested action for a mechanic to resolve the Open Defect.

Created By/Date

The user who created the recommendation and the date/time composed.

Modified By/Date

The user who modified the recommendation and the date/time changed.

Mechanic

Users can input Mechanic information in the Recommendation tab.

Skill - The recommended mechanic skill for the defect.

Man Hours - The recommended amount of man hours for the defect.

Men Required - The recommended amount of workers needed for the defect.

Inspector

Users can input Inspector information in the Recommendation tab.

Skill - The recommended inspector skill for the defect.

Man Hours - The recommended amount of man hours for the defect.

Men Required - The recommended amount of workers needed for the defect.
