A/C Actual Flights Closing

The A/C Actual Flights Closing option is a process that updates the aircraft time on the system according to the flight information input to the A/C Actual Flights option. The process will close the flight logs and commit the data regarding those flights into the system. This will apply the flight hours to the aircraft and installed components and age the airframe and component accordingly. This option is typically run once per day by a designated employee.

Please note the following switch:

ACFLTCLS - (A/C Auto Flight Closing) - If set to Yes, automatic A/C FLIGHT CLOSING will be performed every X seconds (defined in the Config Number field.) It will only perform this automatic closing if the A/C Actual Flights Closing option is open and running (the progress gauge will appear to indicate it is currently running).

Run the update - A/C Actual Flights Closing option a message will ask if the user wishes to close the flights.

If the user answer is Yes, the system will proceed with the update.

Update of times can take place at anytime.

Following the closing, any flight logs that were previously appearing in the A/C Actual Flights entry screen will not appear any more. To retrieve a flight log following closure, use the FLT Reopen button in the A/C Actual Flights entry screen. Please see the A/C Flight RE-Open button section for additional information. The user will be asked for the A/C and Flight Log information. If there are no flights to update on the system, the following message will display.
