Security ID Minimum Number of Characters

Note: Please note the following switches:

SECMALP – Security Password Minimum of Alpha Characters.

SECMNC – Security Password Minimum of Numeric Characters.

Switch Set to Yes:

When set to Yes, an employee’s User name in the Security Explorer must have the same or greater amount of characters than what is listed in the Config Number field of this switch.

Notice that when a new User is created in the Security Explorer with fewer characters than the switch’s Config Number, a warning blocks the User profile from being saved.

Switch Set to No:

When set to No, an employee’s User name in the Security Explorer does not have to meet the amount of characters that is listed in the Config Number field of this switch.

Notice that when a new User is created with fewer characters than what is listed in the switch’s Config Number field, the User profile can still be saved.
