PRINTSGN - Change Printer on Sign-OnChange Printer on Sign-On Affected Window: w_main_explorer
Switch Set to Yes: When set to Yes, after signing back onto the system, if the application fails to change the printer to the requested sign-on default, a warning message pops up and the system will attempt to change the printer default once again in the amount of seconds listed in the Config Number field. Select the Print Setup option from the File menu of the Control Panel. Select a printer then select the Set Sign-On Default button. The Default Sign-on Printer Name field is then populated with the selected printer. Close the Print Setup window then exit the system. Sign back into the system. If the selected printer is not available and the system cannot successfully assign the selected printer, a Microhelp note is displayed to the bottom left of the window. This note informs that the system will try assigning the selected printer as the default in 60 seconds from the time the user signed in (60 seconds being the amount of time entered in the Config Number field). After the 60 seconds, if the system has not been able to change the printer setting, the following warning message pops up. If this is the case, the printer will need to be reconfigured or another printer will need to be selected.
Switch Set to No: When set to No, after signing back onto the system, if the application fails to change the printer to the requested sign-on default, a warning message appears stating that the system will no longer attempt to automatically change the printer settings. Exit the session andf sign back in with the same printer credentials as displayed above. The following warning message appears immediately stating that the system will no longer attempt to automatically change the printer settings throughout the current session. |
