MULTI COMPANY FUNCTIONALITYThe Multi Company functionality allows eMRO operators that consist of multiple companies/airlines to use the same database for all companies while differentiating the financial, materials, engineering, planning, and workload management impacts for each company. Records and transactions throughout the system can be linked to a specific company. Additionally, many query and print windows throughout the system include the Company field as a search filter in order to produce company-specific results. This functionality configures the entire system to specify company control/jurisdiction/restrictions over: materials (requisitions, orders, inventory), accounting (Fixed Assets, G/L Accounts), engineering (E/Cs, Planning), production (W/Os), user configurations, etc. The following configurations need to be made before utilizing the Multi Company functionality.
1. Company Profiles: create a profile for each company using the database 2. Security Explorer: configure each user's settings for their respective company 3. Employee Master: link each employee to a company (as applicable) 4. Currency: create copies of each currency for each company using the database 5. G/L Accounts: create copies of each G/L Account for each company using the database 6. Stylesheets: import a main stylesheet to be used for records linked to 'ALL' companies, and unique stylesheets for records linked to individual companies 7. Aircraft: specify each aircraft with a company 8. Authorization Steps: create unique authorization steps for each company 9. MELs: specify each MEL with a company 10. P/N Inventory Levels: specify a company when creating P/N Inventory Levels 11. TraxDocs: Import T/Cs and E/Cs for individual companies. If only one company will be utilizing the database, then follow the Single Company Configuration Checklist.
Note: During implementation of eMRO, it is required to review your organization's Multi Company configuration and accessibility with Trax USA Corp. Note: The multi company functionality can be found throughout the system. This manual does not specify every instance of the multi company functionality in the system, but is intended as a general overview configuration checklist. |
