SINGLE COMPANY CONFIGURATION CHECKLIST
SINGLE COMPANY CONFIGURATION CHECKLIST
If records in the database will not need to be differentiated between multiple companies, then the system must be configured for single company usage. The following configurations will need to be set up in order to ensure all data is collected correctly under one single company.
- Company Profile: There should only be one profile in the Company Profile window.
- User Security: Each user must be linked to only one company in the Security Explorer. Refer to the Company Setup button in the Security, General tab window.
- Employee Records: Each employee record should be linked to the main company via the Employee Master, Optional tab.
- Currency: Create only one copy of each Currency (instead of a copy of each Currency for each of the multiple Companies). Refer to the Currency transaction code.
- Company Currency: Specify the currency for the Company Profile. Refer to the Company Profile, General tab.
- Stylesheets: From the Company Profile window, import a main stylesheet to be used for records linked to 'ALL' companies (via Main Stylesheet button), and a stylesheet for records linked to the specific company (via Format Stylesheet button).
- G/L Accounts: Only one copy of each G/L Account should be created (instead of a copy of each G/L Account for each of the multiple Companies). Refer to the G/L Accounts window.
These configuration are required at implementation of the system.
Note: It is necessary to make these configurations at implementation because the sample database provided to new eMRO operators is defaulted for multiple company usage.
Note: To set up the database for multiple companies refer to Multi Company Configurations.
