eMRO v5 - Engineering Module
A/C Modification Plans is used to set up and organize information that is common to a certain task. A Plan consists of attachments and web links to drawings, kits, and A/C design change notices, and can also include part requirements.
The A/C Modification Plans Query window allows users to view details of existing Plans.
A/C Modification Plan Button, via Task Card and Task Card Authorization
The A/C Modification Plan 
button is used to link A/C Modification Plans to Task Cards. Plans previously linked to the Task Card can also be viewed, or removed, via this button. This button is security controlled via Engineering/ Update/ Task Card Selection/ Task Card A/C Modification Plan.
Engineering Control, General Tab
QR Code - The QR code allows users to pull up records using QR code scanner functionality via the applicable eMobility application.
Engineering Control, Schedule Tab
Calendar Days - The Calendar Days checkbox changed to a drop down menu providing a Yes, No, and No Fly option. With the No Fly option, planning forecasts A/C E/C due dates based on calendar days starting from the A/C last flight date.
Engineering Task Card Control, General Tab
Current TC Rev - This field displays the last authorized revision of the Task Card. If a new revision of the Task Card is in progress, this field will not show the new revision number until the Task Card has been authorized. This window is accessed by selecting the Task Card Control 
button via Engineering Control Selection or Engineering Control Authorization.
Engineering Request Review (formally Task Card Discrepancy)
In eMRO version 5, Engineering Request Review has replaced the terminology Task Card Discrepancy. This change is reflected throughout the application, which includes the Engineering, GSE, Production, Technical Records, and Shop modules. Affected module names have been revised to reflect the change:

- Engineering Request Review Query - New to V5
- Engineering Request Review
- Engineering Request Review Supervisor
- Engineering Request Review Close (Production Module)

ER Reference - Auto-generated number assigned sequentially to each Engineering Request.
External Reference - An external reference number interfaced with an external system, as defined by the company, that can be used to search Engineering Requests in the main system.
Note: This field is customer specific and requires unique interfacing properties.
Engineering Request Review, Quick Attach N/R to W/O button
This button allows users to create a Non-Routine Task Card to be attached to the above Work Order. The discrepancy can then be corrected on this N/R Task Card. System Notifications can be set up to notify a user when the Task Card is attached to the W/O.
Note: When Engineering Switch 
TCDISCAUTH is set to Yes, this button is not available until the T/C Discrepancy is Authorized.
Engineering Request Review Query
The Engineering Request Review Query allows users to search for and view all existing Engineering Request records.
Import Button, via Engineering Control Selection
The Engineering Control Selection Import From File window allows users to create multiple T/C and E/C relationships at once by quickly uploading E/Cs and T/Cs using the Import 
button. Select the Excel 
button to download the Import Template used to import files that do not exist in the system. This Import button is an alternative to linking an E/C and T/C using the Task Card Control Button, via Engineering Control.
Import Button, via Mass Authorize Pending TCs Button
The Import TCs window allows users to Import T/Cs directly to the Mass Authorize Pending TCs window using the Import button. Users can then perform a mass authorization of the T/Cs defined within the import template. The system will validate the T/Cs provided on the template and prompt exceptions in the case that any issues are encountered during the import process.
Import Button, via Task Card Selection
The Import 
button allows users to upload a .xlsx file that will create T/C headers using only the T/C Name and Description. Upon a successful import, users can return to the T/C and enter the rest of the necessary details.
Engineering Control Selection, General tab
Company - This field defaults to 'ALL COMPANY' in version 6.
Engineering Control Query
Company - This field defaults to 'ALL COMPANY' in version 6.
Multi Select button, via Engineering Prints
A Multi Select 
button has been added to several fields in the Engineering Control Print and Engineering Authorization Management Print to allow users to select multiple options from one field.

Company - This field defaults to 'ALL COMPANY' in version 6.
Task Card Express Button, via Task Card Authorization Management
The Task Card Express 
button allows users to view, edit, and Release Task Cards for Authorization. The Task Card Express window is a slimmed down version of the Task Card Selection and Task Card Detail windows. An existing Task Card record must be highlighted before selecting the Task Card Express button. The Task Card Express option allows users to release Task Cards to the Task Card Authorization queue (Engineering/ Explorer/Task Card Authorization).
Task Card Express Button, via Task Card Selection
The Task Card Express button allows users to view and edit existing Engineering Task Cards quickly and efficiently. The Task Card Express window is a slimmed down version of the Task Card Selection and Task Card Detail windows. An existing Task Card record must be highlighted before selecting the Task Card Express button.
New Task Card Express Button, via Task Card Selection
The New Task Card Express button allows users to create Engineering Task Cards quickly and efficiently. The Task Card Express window is a slimmed down version of the Task Card Selection and Task Card Detail windows.
QR Code - The QR code allows users to pull up records using QR code scanner functionality via the applicable eMobility application.
Task Card Description - The Description field can contain up to 2,000 characters.
Task Card Query
Company - This field defaults to 'ALL COMPANY' in version 6.
Text - The instructional text for this item. Select the Text Editor 
button to edit the written instructions for the Item.
Note: The Text Editor button has been removed for TraxDoc Task Card Items and will remain as such in all future eMRO releases. TraxDoc Task Card Item Text will be edited during the TraxDoc Revision process.
Item - User can add material for a specific Task Card or Non Routine item. When adding a part requirement leave the item field '0' to have the material associated with all of the item numbers at the header level. The Item field will only validate items that exist in the Task Card. If the user inserts an item number that does not exist an error message will prevent the user from saving.
Note: This window can also be accessed through the Engineering, Production and Shop W/O Task Card and Non Routine windows.
TraxDoc Button, via Task Card Attachment Button
From the Attachment Control window, select the TraxDoc 
button to link a PDF from a TraxDoc record.
Update All Positions Button, via Position Control Button
The Update All Positions 
button allows users to update the Engineering Effectivity Status of multiple Part Number Serial Numbers on an Aircraft at once.
Note: This functionality is especially useful in a scenario where a large amount of P/N E/C data is imported via script. The system runs a sweep to update the Engineering Effectivity Status of all applicable P/N E/Cs.
Note: The PN Control-Trace PN Inventory Control print has been added to eMRO and reports transaction activity that resulted in an update or removal of a P/N's control effectivity.
