JAVAHEAP - Allows User to Set the Maximum Java Heap Size in MBAllows User to Set the Maximum Java Heap Size in MB Affected Window: w_mainframe
Switch Set to Yes: When set to Yes, the Config Number field of this switch controls the maximum number of megabytes (MB) for the Java heap to utilize.
Switch Set to No: When set to No, the maximum number of MB utilized by the Java heap is set to the Java default of 128MB.
Note: Java heap is the heap size allocated to Java Virtual Machine (JVM) applications which take care of the new objects being created. If the objects being created exceed the heap size, an out of memory error will be triggered. In the same token, having too much heap space can cause performance issues for the computer in use. This switch is meant to allow customers to set the maximum limit they want to allocate to the JVM. |
