CHOMITPN - Characters to Omit in P/N

Characters to Omit in P/N

Switch Set to Yes:

When set to Yes, the system will prevent the user from creating P/Ns from containing special characters in the part's name ( such as: ~!@#$%^&*()+=<>,.:';'{}[]?/|\ ). These characters are defined in the Config Other field of the switch’s Configuration.

The following P/N contains one of the omitted characters in its name, and so the P/N is prevented from being created.

Note: If you have parts in Inventory that have special characters that are defined in the Config Other tab, it will prevent the user of process transactions for that part.

Switch Set to No:

When set to No, the system will not prevent the user from creating P/Ns from containing characters in the part's name.

The following P/N contains one of the omitted characters in its name; however, with the switch set to No, the P/N is not prevented from being created.
