ATA Specifications

The ATA Specifications (Air Transport Association definition numbers) option contains the ability to set up the ATA Chapters, Sections, Paragraphs, and Aircraft System Codes (ASC). Their associated alert limits and recurrent item limits from the Aircraft Maintenance Manual can also be entered.

The only place in the system that the entry of an ATA number is mandatory (ATA Chapter number only) is in the Aircraft Defect Report Entry (via Technical Records/ Update/ Defect Report). Other places can have ATA entered such as the P/N detail, but this is not mandatory in the system. ATA may be mandatory for some options in your procedures.

Setting up of this option involves determining what ATAs need to be entered first and then entering the related data.
