Company Change Button, via Inventory Transaction
The Company Change button allows users to change the company ownership of the P/N that had previously been selected in the Inventory Transaction window. Orders can be created automatically depending on the scenario (SO/POs and XO/EXs), and they can be linked to Requisitions and Transfer Orders as needed.
First, users must specify the company that the part ownership should be changed to, along with the desired currency for the part's financial information. Users can also tie the company change transaction to a new or existing T/O by selecting the appropriate radio button. Lastly, a Order Type must be selected in order to determine how the company change transaction should be processed by the system.

Note: The following warnings were changed from hard stop warnings to soft warnings.

The following information/options are available in this window: _____________________________________________________________________________________
Old Company
The company that currently owns the P/N.
New Company
The company that will receive ownership of the P/N once the transaction has been completed.
Note: The New Company cannot be the same as the Old Company. If the same company is entered in the New Company field, a warning message will prevent the transaction from being saved when the Save button is selected.
Currency
The currency that should be used for the old and new company respectively. Will determine the type of currency used for the orders that will be generated based on the selected Order Types. For more information on company currency, please refer to Configurations: Currency.
Note: The 'Old Company' Currency will default to the main Currency for that company as specified in the Company Profile. And while the 'New Company' Currency can be edited as required, it is recommended to only use the main currency for that company as well.
Transfer radio buttons
The selected option will determine if a Transfer Order will be created as part of the company change transaction.
New - A new Transfer Order will be created to facilitate the company change transaction.
Existing - The selected P/N will be added as a new line item to an existing Transfer Order, which is specified in the T/O NO field.
None - No Transfer Order will be created or used.
T/O NO
Specify the T/O that the Company Change transaction should be attached to. This field only appears when the Existing option is selected from the Transfer radio buttons.
Print Tag checkbox
Selecting this checkbox will ensure that an appropriate tag will be printed for the P/N once the Company Change transaction is complete. The Print Tag window will automatically be displayed once the Save button has been selected.
Order Type
This field determines how the company change transaction will be recognized by the system.
S/O & P/O - The system will treat the company change transaction as a sale of the P/N. For more information, refer to Order Type: S/O & P/O.
X/O & E/X - The system will treat the company change transaction as an exchange of one P/N for another. The auto-generated X/O will remain unfulfilled until a X/O & E/X FULFILL transaction is performed for another part. For more information, refer to Order Type: X/O & E/X.
X/O & E/X fulfill - The company change transaction performed using this order type will fulfill X/O's generated using the X/O & E/X option above. For more information, refer to Order Type: X/O & E/X.
None - The system will treat the company change transaction as a quantity and value adjustment of both companies' inventory, but orders will not be created. For more information, refer to Order Type: None.
Note: The 'NONE' Order Type is only functional for serialized parts, not consumable parts. When trying to save a 'NONE' Company Change transaction for a batch of consumable parts, a hard warning message appears and prevents the transaction from being saved.
