P/N Missing Button, via Inventory Transaction

The Missing button is utilized to flag a part as missing, or not physically in the appropriate location/bin, in Inventory Transaction and as a part of its Transaction History. Upon being flagged as Missing, the P/N can be found in the Missing Parts Queue window. From there, the part can be Scrapped or deemed Lost or Found. For more information, refer to the Missing Parts Queue.

Note: This button is security controlled via Inventory/Update/Inventory Transaction/Missing Part. For more information refer to the Security Explorer via the System Administration Training Manual.

Once selecting the specific record that is missing, and selecting the Missing button, the following prompt will appear, indicating the user that the part will be flagged as missing and its quantities will be set to zero:

Selecting 'No' will return the user to the Inventory Transaction window.

Upon selecting 'Yes,' the part's quantities will be set to zero, and it will be flagged in the Inventory Transaction window with a red 'MISSING' stamp.

Additionally, a Missing P/N Form is generated.

In the Inventory Transaction Detail, Transaction History tab, the action of being flagged as Missing is registered as a transaction.

Additionally, the query of the Inventory Transaction window can be filtered by Missing parts.

Upon being flagged as Missing, the P/N can be found in the Missing Parts Queue window. From there, the part can be Scrapped or deemed Lost or Found. For more information, refer to the Missing Parts Queue.

Missing Parts Process

 

Murata Interface Functionality:

This functionality is also available for the Murata interface. For this interface, the Missing button is located through the Tray Management window.

The same functionality detailed above applies. But when the button is selected and the part is set as Missing, the following prompt will ask if the tray should be resent to pick a different part (with the same Part Number).
