The RTN From Quarantine button is utilized to return an unserviceable part from a Quarantine location to regular Inventory, removes its unserviceable code, and returns the part to have Available Quantity in Inventory Transaction.

This button is security controlled via Inventory/Update/Inventory Transaction/RTN From Quarantine. For more information refer to the Security Explorer via the System Administration Training Manual.

Once selecting the specific record that is unserviceable in a Quarantine location, and selecting the RTN From Quarantine button, a prompt will appear, thus indicating the user that the part will return to regular Inventory and have Available Qty.

Selecting 'No' will return the user to the Inventory Transaction window.

Upon selecting 'Yes,' the Return From Quarantine window appears:

The following information/options are available in this window:

Location

The Location for maintenance events, inventory stores, orders, transactions, or training events. The Location to which the part is being returned.

Bin

The Bin to which the part is being returned.

Reason

The reason for which the unserviceable part is being returned from a Quarantine Location to regular Inventory as Available. This information will appear in the Notes button of the transaction in the Transaction History tab.

Select the Save button to return the part.

The system will verify that the part is not being returned to another Quarantine Location. If the user attempts to return the part to another Quarantine Location, an error will appear.

After the part has been returned from a Quarantine Location to regular Inventory, it is in an Available status in Inventory Transaction.

Parts that are in the system as 'Missing' cannot be Returned From Quarantine.
