Bin Category

The System Transaction Codes are displayed with both the Code Names and Descriptions. The Code Descriptions directly illustrate their functionality and role in the system, as fields are populated and tasks are performed.

P/N Category Type radio buttons

Allows Location Bins to be linked to P/N Categories. These radio buttons are only available when Settings Switch BINCATLINKPNCAT is set to Yes. When set to Yes, the BIN/CATEGORY transaction code is linked to the PNCATEGORY transaction code. Parts that contain a certain Part Category can only be placed in Bins that have the same P/N Category Transaction type (i.e. Serialized, Consumable, etc.).

When set to No, the Bin Category is not linked to the P/N Category and the P/N Category Type radio buttons are not available. For detailed information refer to Switch BINCATLINKPNCAT via the Settings Switches Manual.
