W/O Task Card Bust

logo_V7_Big

The W/O Task Card Bust window allows a technician to 'bust' or cancel a scheduled task. A task may need to be canceled for a number of reasons such as weather conditions, man power availability, lack of time, etc. The W/O Task Card Bust functionality allows the technician to cancel and therefore remove scheduled tasks and E/Cs against a Work Order that cannot be completed for whatever reason.

The Task Priority of a task will determine if the task can be busted. This can be set up via the Task Priority Transaction Code via the Production Transaction Codes.

Some tasks can be busted and are released from authorization immediately, while other tasks may require an authorization process. The W/O Task Card Bust Authorization can be utilized by a lead technician or supervisor to authorize those tasks that require this process.

Note: Only tasks that have the appropriate Task Priority which allows them to be busted will appear in this window. For more information, refer to the Task Priority button, via the Production Training Manual.

Once a task has been busted, the status of the task will be updated from 'OPEN' to 'Canceled'. This new status can be viewed by selecting the E/O Hierarchy View button. Once all tasks on an E/C have been busted, the E/C will be reset to 'Do Not Reset'.

Note: This window is security controlled via Production/ Update/ W/O Task Card Bust. For additional information, refer to the Security Explorer of the System Administration Training Manual.

Select from any of the below search criteria to query for a desired W/O Task Card Bust record, and select the Find button.
