When a Part Number Serial Number's Install Date precedes the Part Number Control's Reset Date, the P/N Control will begin accumulating Actuals against flights taking place after the P/N Control Reset Date not from the P/N Install Date (see the below diagram). Through the P/N Inventory Control window of the P/O Receiving process, enter a retroactive Reset Date (04/27/2021) for a new P/N Controlled part. Notice that the P/N Serial Number was installed on a previous date (01/01/2021) than the P/N Control Reset Date (04/27/2021). For more information regarding installing and removing parts refer to the A/C P/N Transaction via the Technical Records Training Manual. P/N Control Actuals will not start accumulating until the indicated Reset Date even though the part was installed prior to that date. From the P/N Inventory Control window (via the P/N Control From the A/C Flight Log Print, users can view the flight log breakdown for the Aircraft that the P/N was installed onto between the date the P/N was installed (01/01/2021) and the current date (04/29/2021). Notice how the A/C Total Times below reflect the P/N Installed hours in the P/N Inventory Control window. As mentioned above, these P/N Installed hours do not correspond to the P/N Control Actuals. From the P/N Inventory Control window (above), the Actuals accrued reflect the total hours accumulated from the Reset Date of the P/N Control not the P/N Installed date. Users can view the flight log breakdown for the Aircraft that the P/N was installed onto between the P/N Control Reset Date (04/27/2021) and the current date (04/29/2021). Notice how the A/C Total Times below reflect the P/N Control Actuals above. |
