Positions Button, via P/N Master
The Positions button defines the configuration for the aircraft on the system. This can be by fleet/type or by individual Tail Number. This is the ‘perfect aircraft’ assembly. Positions and quantities entered here can be used to validate component transactions on the aircraft. It also improves reliability statistics for an aircraft. The Unscheduled Component Removal summary report has a formula that needs to know how many parts are installed on an aircraft. It checks settings, P/N and positions for calculation.
The following tabs and buttons are available.
Using the Aircraft Explorer, it is possible to switch the Aircraft Configuration on and off to view missing Position information.

ACPERFCT - (A/C Perfect Mask Verification Mandatory) - If set to Yes, the system will require that the user follow the aircraft perfect mask when installing components. Appropriate fields (ex. Position field) will be mandatory during the A/C P/N Initial Load. This should not be set to Yes until perfect masks have been created. If this switch is set to Yes, and Switch ACPMENSP (A/C Perfect Mask Exclude Non Setup Position) is set to Yes, the Perfect Mask will exclude parts that do not have Positions set up via Settings/Update/P/N/Positions button.
