ETOPS Downgrade Button, via A/C Controller Panel

Select the ETOPS Downgrade button to downgrade the ETOPS aicraft to a non-ETOPS aircraft. When non-authorized ETOPS parts are installed on an ETOPS aircraft, the aircraft must be downgraded to non-ETOPS. Once an aircraft has been downgraded, it cannot fly any ETOPS routes. Users can configure a System Notification called 'A/C DOWNGRADE NOTIFICATION' to be sent to the required personnel whenever an ETOPS aircraft is downgraded through this button. (The aircraft can be restored to its ETOPS status by selecting the ETOPS Restore button.)

Note: This button is security-controlled via Technical Records/ Update/ A/C Controller Panel/ ETOPS Downgrade. Wall security is also enabled for the use of this button. For additional information, refer to the Security Explorer, via the System Administration Training Manual.

The user will be asked to confirm that the selected aircraft will be downgraded.

After being downgraded, the aircraft line item will be flagged 'ETOPS RESTRICTED.' The ETOPS Restore button will also be available to restore the aircraft's ETOPS status.
