T-PED Applicability, via P/N Category

The P/N Category transaction code allows the setup of Transmitting Portable Electronic Devices. The T-PED option selected in the Category transaction code will default whenever the specified category is entered in P/N Master. The proper selection of the T-PED radio button will allow for the proper inventory management for T-PED approved parts.

Select the T-PED (Approved, Not Applicable, Not Approved) option and the T-PED status of the part defaults to the option selected in the Category transaction code.

In the P/N Master, Technical Engineering tab, the T-PED Approved checkbox is pre-defined from the Category transaction code used for this part. The user can override this selection and select any of the additional T-PED options.
