The removal information for the part can be entered on the Removal tab or automatically populate the part's last aircraft removal transaction. The removal information is important because it can include details such as why a component was removed from an aircraft. This tab also provides a way to record the information related to the last removal of the component from an aircraft. All aircraft part transactions are created via Technical Records/Update/ A/C P/N Transaction. Parts may be Installed and/or Removed as required. They may be further linked to the Defect Report and/or Work Order Task Card which triggered its required removal.
The following information/options are available in this window: A/C The individual aircraft tail number. Position The aircraft position reference. Removal Date The date of removal. Schedule radio button Select this radio if the component removal was scheduled. Unscheduled radio button Select this radio if the component removal was unscheduled. Swap radio button Select this radio if the component removal was the result of a swap transaction. W/O The Work Order used to categorize, manage, and schedule work requirements for aircraft maintenance. Task Card The Task Card / Job Card that details the scheduled maintenance work. Defect The defect number (or log book number). Hours/Cycles/Days Installed The amount of hours/minutes/cycles/days of the current installation. The hours and cycles are dependent on the flight times accumulated during the current installation. Cost per Hrs/Cyc Cost per hours or cycles. Defect The defect report's description which prompted the reason for the part removal. Resolution The defect report's resolution description for the part removal. Task Card Description The description of the Task Card. _____________________________________________________________________________________ The removal information may be added to this tab for printing on the repair order by either selecting into the defect from the Removal History tab. This tab may be configured to auto populate with the last Defect Report removal transaction history for the part.
Note: A/C P/N Transactions may only be performed for serialized components. There are many warning messages which a user may receive while creating an order. For the meaning of any of these warning messages, please refer to the Orders Module Warning Messages section of the Orders Training Manual. |
