Recurrent Category Alert and Chronic
The Reliability module offers the opportunity to manage Recurrent Alert Items to greater detail that are marked as either 'Alert' or 'Chronic'. Recurrent Items are marked as Alert or Chronic through the Recurrent Category available via the Recurrent Item, Optional tab. When an Alert or Chronic Recurrent Category is assigned to the Item, the Release for Authorization 
button becomes available.
Once sent to authorization, the Recurrent Item must be authorized via the Recurrent Item Authorization Explorer. Once authorized, the Recurrent Items can be further managed via the Tech Support Disposition Explorer. For more information refer to those two windows in the Reliability Training Manual.
