Setting Up Recurrent Item Notifications

System Notifications can be configured to alert individual users or entire user groups whenever a Recurrent Item is created. These notifications can be configured at two levels: 1.) for all Recurrent Items, or 2.) when authorizing Recurrent Items with specific Recurrent Categories.

Notifications for all Recurrent Items:

Notifications can be sent whenever a new Recurrent Item is triggered through the 'RECURRENT ALERT' notification via Settings/Update/System Notification.

Select into the notification detail to define who will receive notifications when a Recurrent Alert is created.

When a Recurrent Item is triggered, the notification is sent to the configured user(s) with details of the Recurrent Item.

Release for Authorization Notifications:

Notifications can also be sent when a Recurrent Item with a specific Recurrent Category is released for authorization. This is set up through the Notification but_notification_small button for individual Recurrent Category transaction codes.

Note: The Release for Authorization button is only available for Items that have Recurrent Categories with either Alert or Chronic selected (above). Therefore, authorization System Notifications can only be set up for Recurrent Items that have these specific Recurrent Category tran code configurations.

Notice that the 'ALERT' transaction code is specified in the Control field.

This 'Alert' Reason Category is entered against the Recurrent Item. The Release for Authorization but_release for authorization (small2) button is then selected.

Once released for authorization, the system notification is sent.
