Task Card Authorization Management

The Task Card Authorization Management option functions the same as the Engineering Authorization Management option, except it is used for Task Cards.

The Task Card Authorization Management option allows users to release Task Cards so that the Task Card can be sent to the Task Card Authorization queue (Engineering/ Explorer/Task Card Authorization).

Note: Engineering Switch REVAUTH (Task Card Authorization Revision) must be set to Yes in order for this functionality to work correctly. When set to Yes, newly created or revised Task Cards will require authorization and will be placed in the Task Card Authorization queue. When set to No, new or revised Task Cards do not require authorization. For more information refer to Switch REVAUTH via the Engineering Switches Manual.

Note: This option is security controlled via Engineering/ Update/ Task Card Authorization Management. For additional information, refer to the Security Explorer, via the System Administration Training Manual.

Once the switch is set to Yes, a revision must be applied in order to update/edit a Task Card.

Once a Task Card has been created and that Task Card is pending Authorization, the Task Card will appear in the Task Card Authorization Management option awaiting release.

After utilizing the Task Card Authorization Management window as needed, the user can select into the necessary record and proceed with the Task Card Authorization Process.

This update window is also available in query mode where users can view the records provided in this window but cannot create new records or edit existing data. Refer to this module's Query menu.
