Damage Repair Reporting, via Dent Mapping

The Damage Repair Reporting window allows the user to enter details information about the dent (e.g. location, size)

 

The following information/options are available in this window:

Damage Type

The Damage Type Code. To view/set up these codes, go to Settings/ Explorer/ System Transaction Codes/ Technical Records/ Damage Type.

Location of Damage section

Section (From / To) - The section covering the damage area.

Station (From / To) - The station of the aircraft. This is a physical location on the aircraft in inches from a datum point.

Stringer (From / To) - In aircraft construction, a Stringer (also known as Longeron) is a thin strip of wood or metal, to which the skin of the aircraft is fastened.

Plus - Enter any additional information regarding the station. This is a free text field and is informational only.

Dimensions section

Length / Width / Depth - The dimension (length, width, depth) of the damaged area.

For Replaceable Parts section

P/N Damaged Part - The part number of the damaged part.

S/N Damaged Part - The serial number of the damaged part.

Action Taken section

In Limits radio buttons - Select whether the corrosion is within allowable limits.

Acc (According) - Enter a reference document that the work was completed according to. (e.g. SRN 53-00-0)

Blend Repair radio buttons - Select the Yes radio button if there was any blending done to the repair. Select No if no blending was done to the repair.

Original Thickness - The original thickness of the material before blending.

Blend Out Length - The length of the area the blending was done.

Width - The width of the area the blending was done.

Remaining Thickness - The remaining thickness of the blended area.

Repair Performed radio buttons - Select the Yes radio button if a repair was performed. Select No if a repair was not performed.

Work Performed - Enter the work performed for the aircraft. This is a free text field.

Acc (According) - Enter a reference document that the work was completed according to. (e.g. SRN 53-00-0)

Once the information has been entered, select the Save button.

Notes and Attachments can be linked to the record by selecting the Notes and Attachments buttons, respectively.
