A/C Type/Series, Software Tab

The Software tab in the A/C Type/Series window appears when the Software Configuration Control checkbox is selected in the A/C Type/Series, General Tab. The Software tab allows customers to enter XML reference points (tags) identified in the XML file provided by the A/C manufacturer.

Note: Switch PNSOFTEC must be set to Yes for the Software tab to appear. For more information, refer to Switch PNSOFTEC via the Settings Switches Training Manual.

Aircraft Master, Other 1 Tab

Company: The following functionality was added to this field: When the company ownership of an aircraft is changed from one company to another, all of the parts that are currently installed on that aircraft will automatically have their company ownership adjusted accordingly. Additionally, all Engineering Controls and Task Cards that are impacted by the changing of the Aircraft company will be recorded and will be viewable in the Aircraft Bridge report via the Engineering Print window. For more information refer to the Aircraft Configurations section of the Multi Company Functionality manual.

MEL Authorization Management

The Company drop-down menu was added to the MEL Authorization Management window as a third search parameter in addition to A/C Series and A/C Type.

The left-most column of Select buttons was added to the list of MELs appearing in the lower part of the window according to search parameters delimited in the upper portion.

MEL Master

Company: The company the MEL is being created for.

Note: The company specified on any given MEL can only be used for defect report deferrals on aircraft that are owned by that specified company.

P/N Inventory Levels, General Tab

Company: The company whose inventory of the specified P/N will be controlled by the Inventory Levels functionality.

Audit Button, via Employee Skill

The Audit button was added to the Employee Skill window to track changes made to each Employee's Skills.

Software Configuration Explorer

The Software Configuration Explorer window displays what P/N Software is currently loaded on an A/C and in which Software Location ID (SLID). The Authorized P/N Software column displays new P/N Software and any E/Cs that have been released to upgrade to the new software.

Note: Switch PNSOFTEC must be set to Yes for the Software Configuration Explorer window to find and display data. For more information, refer to Switch PNSOFTEC via the Settings Switches Training Manual. Please contact Trax for assistance before changing the configuration of this switch.

P/N Control System Notification Example

P/N Control button - When the P/N Control button is selected, a series of checkboxes appear. These boxes allow the user to generate specific notifications that should be received at the P/N Master Level. For example, selecting the Calibration checkbox will notify the user when the calibration task has been performed for a P/N.
