The Material Category Type has been created to capture the cost of material for a Work Order Bid Sheet.

Note: The fields in the Quote Rates section only apply to the Material Bid Category Type.

Once the Material Bid Category type has been selected, populate all relevant fields.

The user may select the New button to add additional records.

The following information/options are available in this window:

New Surcharge %

The surcharge percentage for new parts. The value in this field is applied to the Part Surcharge field when the New Sale radio button is selected. For additional information, see Surcharge Percentage, via Material Bid Type.

New Surcharge Single Limit

The surcharge limit per record for new sell items. The value in this field is applied to the Part Surcharge field when the New Sale radio button is selected. For additional information, refer to Single Limit, via Material Bid Type.

New Surcharge Multi Limit

The value in this field is used to set a surcharge limit for multiple new sell items. For additional information, refer the Multi Limit, via Material Bid Type.

Overhaul %

The overhaul percentage of the material cost of the price. The value in this field is applied to the Part Price field when the OH Sale radio button is selected.

OH Surcharge %

The surcharge percentage for overhaul parts. The value in this field is applied to the Part Surcharge field when the OH Sale radio button is selected.

OH Surcharge Single Limit

The surcharge limit per record for OH Sale items. The value in this field is applied to the Part Surcharge field when the OH Sale radio button is selected.

OH Surcharge Multi Limit

The value in this field is used to set a surcharge limit for multiple OH Sale items. For additional information, refer the Multi Limit, via Material Bid Type.

New Exchange Surcharge %

The surcharge percentage for new exchanged parts. The value in this field is applied to the Exchange Cost field when the New Exchange radio button.

New Exchange Single Limit

The surcharge limit per record for new exchange items. The value in this field is applied to the Exchange Cost field when the New Exchange radio button is selected.

New Exchange Multi Limit

The value in this field is used to set a surcharge limit for multiple new exchange items. For additional information, refer the Multi Limit, via Material Bid Type.

OH Exchange Surcharge %

The surcharge percentage for overhauled exchanged parts. The value in this field is applied to the Exchange Cost field when the OH Exchange radio button is selected.

OH Exchange Surcharge Single Limit

The surcharge limit per record for overhauled exchanged items. The value in this field is applied to the Exchange Cost field when the OH Exchange radio button is selected.

OH Exchange Surcharge Multi Limit

The value in this field is used to set a surcharge limit for multiple OH Exchange items. For additional information, refer the Multi Limit, via Material Bid Type.

Shop Surcharge %

The surcharge percentage for shop parts. The value in this field is applied to the Repair Surcharge field when the R/O Cost field is populated. For additional information, refer to Shop Surcharge Percentage, via Material Bid Type.

Shop Surcharge Limit

The surcharge limit for any additional costs incurred by the shop during the repair of the part.

RO Surcharge %

The surcharge percentage of a Repair Order. The value in this field is applied to the Repair Surcharge field when the R/O Cost field and/or the Shop Cost fields are populated. For additional information, refer to RO Surcharge Percentage, via Material Bid Type.

RO Surcharge Single Limit

The surcharge limit per record for Repair Order items. The value in this field is applied to the Repair Surcharge field when the Shop Repair radio button is selected.

Handling Surcharge %

The surcharge percentage of handling parts. The value in this field is applied to the Part Surcharge field when the Handling radio button is selected.

Handling Surcharge Single Limit

The surcharge limit per record for Handling items. The value in this field is applied to the Part Surcharge field when the Handling radio button is selected.

Handling Surcharge Multi Limit

The value in this field is used to set a surcharge limit for the Handling of multiple items. For additional information, refer the Multi Limit, via Material Bid Type.

LLP Exchange Surcharge %

The surcharge percentage of the exchange of a life limit part. The value in this field is applied to the Exchange Cost field when the LLP Exchange radio button is selected.

LLP Surcharge Limit

The surcharge limit of a life limit part. The value in this field is applied to the Part Surcharge field when the LLP Sale radio button is selected.

LLP Coefficient Percent

The coefficient percentage of a life limit part. For additional information, refer to LLP Coefficient Percent, via Material Bid Type.

Bid Category Type

Select from one of the following bid category types:

• Task Card
• Material
• LABOR
• Miscellaneous

P/N

The Part Number reference for the aircraft part. This field only appears if Material is selected from the drop down menu.

S/N

The Serial Number for the specific serialized part.

Condition

Enter the condition of the part that is being quoted for repair.

QTY

Enter the quantity of parts to be quoted for repair. This value will be multiplied to determine the final Sell amount for this line item.

P/N Description

Enter the description of the part number that is being quoted for repair.

Life Cyc Limit

Enter the Life Cycle Limit, which is the total life limit of the component.

Note: This field only appear when a LLP (Life Limit Part) is selected.

Installed Cyl

Enter the Installed Cycles, which is the remaining cycles for the installed component.

Note: This field only appears when a LLP is selected.

Removed Cyl

Enter the Removed Cycles, which is the remaining cycles of the removed component.

Note: This field only appears when a LLP is selected.

Material

The quoted cost for materials for the Bid Sheet. This information will auto populate based on the cost (average or actual) based on the P/N Category. This information is defined via the P/N Master, Costing tab. For additional information, refer to the P/N Master, Costing tab, via the P/N Master of the Settings Training Manual. This field is only available when the following Bid Category types are selected:

• Task Card
• Material
• Miscellaneous

This field will be free text if a Miscellaneous Bid Type is selected.

R/O Cost

Enter the cost for the repair of a part. When the RO surcharge % is populated, it will be multiplied by the R/O Cost and added to the Total Cost.

Shop Cost

Enter the cost of any additional costs incurred by the shop during the repair of a part. This cost is separate from the R/O Cost. The Material value does not affect the Total Cost when the Shop Cost is populated and the Shop repair radio button is selected.

Remarks

Enter any additional information regarding the Bid Sheet in this field. This is a free text field.

Select checkbox

Select this checkbox to have the selected item appear in the W/O Bid Sheet print.

Quoted Date

The date the quote for the request was created.

Inspected Radio button

Select this radio button if the part requires inspection. This cost is usually covered under labor.

LLP Exchange radio button

Select this radio button to specify that the LLP Exchange Surcharge % (if applicable) will be used to calculate a potion of the Total Cost of the individual bid category. This value will be reflected in the Exchange Cost field.

LLP Sale radio button

Select this radio button to specify that the LLP Sale Surcharge % (if applicable) will be used to calculate a portion of the Total Cost of the individual bid category. This value will be reflected in the Part Surcharge field.

New Sale radio button

Select this radio button to specify that the New Surcharge % (if applicable) will be used to calculate a portion of the Total Cost of the individual bid category. This value will be reflected in the Part Surcharge field. This radio button also determines the Part Price, which is based in the Material value of the part.

New Exchange radio button

Select this radio button to specify that the New Exchange Surcharge % (if applicable) will be used to calculate a portion the Total Cost of the individual bid category. This value will be reflected in the Exchange Cost field.

OH Exchange radio button

Select this radio button to specify that the OH Exchange Surcharge % (if applicable) will be used to calculate a portion of the Total Cost of the individual bid category. This value will be reflected in the Exchange Cost field.

OH Sale radio button

Select this radio button to specify that the Overhaul % (if applicable) will be used to calculate a portion of the Total Cost of the individual bid category. This value will be reflected in the Part Price field. This radio button also works in conjunction with the OH Surcharge % (if applicable). The two will be used to calculate a portion of the Total Cost of the individual bid category. This value will be reflected in the Part Surcharge field.

Handling radio button

Select this radio button to specify that the Handling Surcharge % (if applicable) will be used to calculate the Total Cost of the bid category. The material value multiplied by the Handling Surcharge % will result in the Total Cost.

Shop Repair radio button

Select this radio button if the part requires repair services in a shop location.

Part Price

The price of the part. This field will auto populate based on the value entered in the Material field when the New Sale radio button is selected.

Part Surcharge

The surcharge cost a part. This field will auto populate based on the selection of any of the following radio buttons:

• LLP Sale
• New Sale
• OH Sale
• Handling

  Note: This field will also consider that values entered in each of the Surcharge % fields in the Quoted Rates section of this window if applicable.

Repair Surcharge

The repair surcharge cost of a part. This field will auto populate based on the selection of any of the following radio buttons:

• LLP Sale
• New Sale
• OH Sale
• Handling
• LLP Exchange
• New Exchange
• OH Exchange

  Note: This field will only auto populate if the RO Surcharge % is populated. For additional information, refer to RO Surcharge Percentage, via Material Bid Type.

Exchange Cost

The exchange cost of new and/ or overhauled parts. This field will auto populate when the New Exchange or OH Exchange radio button is selected.

Note: This field will only auto populate if the New Exchange Surcharge % field or the OH Exchange Surcharge % field is populated.

Total Cost

The total cost of each individual bid category by line item.
