This field is used to calculate the Surcharge percentage for new parts. The value in this field is applied to the Part Surcharge field when the New Sale radio button is selected.
In the following example, the New Surcharge % for this quote is 10.0%.
New Surcharge % * Material = Part Surcharge
10.0% * 1,000 = 100.00
Part Price + Part Surcharge = Total Cost
1,000 + 100.00 = 1,100.00
Total Cost = 1,100.00
The above calculation applies to all of the following Surcharge values:
- OH Surcharge
- New Exchange Surcharge
- New Exchange Surcharge
- OH Exchange Surcharge
- Handling Surcharge
- LLP Exchange Surcharge
Note: The Shop and RO Surcharge behave differently depending on the values input in the R/O Cost field and the Shop Cost field. For additional information, refer to the Shop Surcharge Percentage and the RO Surcharge Percentage.
