Tech Pub Request

Tech Pub Request is used to request changes to technical documentation from the eMRO system. It provides a process to log in and track all requests for changes to documentation and publications used by the company.

Tech Pub Requests can be for hard copy manuals that are indexed in the Library Module or for Electronic Manuals and Documents stored in the TraxDoc Module or for Task Cards in the Engineering Module.

A general outline of the steps involved with a Tech Pub Request is as follows:

1. Set up the Request Type and Authorization Steps (via Library System Transaction Codes).
2. Set up the Tech Pub Request Priority Type (via Library System Transaction Codes).
3. Set up the Tech Pub Authorization Groups (via Library System Transaction Codes).
4. Create a Tech Pub Request (via Tech Pub Request).
5. Release a Tech Pub Request for Authorization (via Tech Pub Request).
6. Authorize a Tech Pub Request (via Tech Pub Authorization and Tech Pub Request Management, as needed).
7. Assign a Tech Pub Request (via Tech Pub Request Management).
