Positions Button, via GSE P/N Master

The Positions12_but_gse_position button defines the configuration for the GSE P/N on the system. Positions and quantities entered here can be used to validate component transactions on the GSE P/N. It also improves reliability statistics for a GSE P/N. The Unscheduled Component Removal summary report has a formula that needs to know how many parts are installed on a GSE P/N. It checks settings, P/N and positions for calculation.

Select the Positions12_but_gse_position button. The system displays the following screen:

 

The following information/options are available in this window:

P/N

The Part Number reference for the Ground Support Equipment part.

GSE Type/Series

Enter the Type/Series for this GSE. Since this is not a free text field, you may click into the field to select those GSE Type/Series already created in the System. These fields are identified when the name is in italics.

GSE Position

The position this part is being installed.

QTY Installed

The quantity of the installed part.

Override checkbox

Select this checkbox if this GSE P/N has been overridden in the past via the Override but_override_small button. Select the Override but_override_small button to view the specific P/N history.

Description

Enter the Description of the equipment (i.e. Ground Power Unit). Notice this field is allowed for free text and is not required.
