Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Module

The GSE module is used to track Ground Service Equipment (Ground Power Unit, GSE Tugs, De-Icing machines, etc.) within the system. The GSE module allows for preventative maintenance to be performed, including the tracking of various types of Ground Support Equipment in a fleet. In addition, the GSE Module allows users to plan any necessary corrective maintenance when required to the GSE, and its installed components. The GSE module contains many of the features and functionalities available throughout the entire system.

The GSE Type/Series is analogous to the Aircraft Type/Series (note that this is not the Aircraft Type/Series that the GSE services). The GSE Unit is analogous to an Aircraft Tail Number. Setting up the functionalities for the GSE is similar to that of a Aircraft.

This manual is designed to instruct users on how to create or implement the GSE module into specific business practices. By following each step, users will be able to utilize the GSE Module to its fullest.

Security privileges will determine which options are available for use. Please contact the appropriate system administrator for any questions or concerns regarding available options.

Note: When using the GSE module, most System Transaction Codes and System Transaction Configuration Switches can be found throughout the Engineering, Production, Requisitions, Orders, and Inventory Modules. For reference on setting up configuration switches or System Transaction Codes, see the System Administration manual.
