Employee Authorization

The Employee Authorization and Employee Authorization Approval options are used to maintain records related to the current authorization status of employees. This is useful if the employee’s current License (or other Authorization certification) must be continually updated by taking specific Training Courses, or meeting other specific eligibility criteria.

Pre-requisites are defined and employees who do not meet the pre-requisite criteria will not be granted Authorization. The Employee Authorization and Employee Authorization Approval process involves:

1. A “template” for the Authorization Code is created via Training/ Update/ Employee Authorization. The template contains the eligibility criteria that must be met by the employee for Employee Authorization Approval to be awarded. Specific: Authorization Codes, Skills, Licenses, and Training Courses can all be designated as pre-requisites to obtain Employee Authorization Approval.
2. Employee records are created via Training/ Update/ Employee Authorization Approval. The records are validated against the template to determine whether the employee is eligible for Authorization Approval. First and Second Level Approvals are possible.

The search criteria to query existing records can be entered in the Employee Authorization, General tab.

This update window is also available in query mode where users can view the records provided in this window but cannot create new records or edit existing data. Refer to this module's Query menu.
