Training
The Training module is used to record information regarding Training Courses available within an organization.
The Training Course syllabus is set up, and employees are scheduled to attend the classes based on pre-defined schedules.
Records are maintained regarding the employees’ attendance and completion rates, along with their respective results (grades).
If employees’ licenses are affected by their completion of the Training Courses, the employees’ license information will be automatically updated in their employee profile. Any new license expiration date and cumulative hours can be optionally updated as required.
A general description of the process involved with utilizing the Training module follows.
- System Setup of the Training Module:
- Set Training Course Switches (System Transaction Configuration).
- Setup the Training System Transaction Codes.
- Confirm that Skills are set up via the Skills Master (Settings/Update/Skills).
- Create the Training Courses and the Training Course details via the Training Course Registration program.
- Create schedules for employees who will attend the Training Course via the Employee Schedule
button. - Enroll employees into Training Courses via the Training Class Enrollment Program or Training Class Employee Enroll/Cancel Program.
- Record the employees that have completed the Training Course (including all required Subjects/Tasks within the Training Course) via the Training Course Completion Programs.
- Approve the Training Course Completion and determine the Pass/Fail status of the employee via the Training Course Completion Approval Programs.
Alternate Process - Method B
A simplified alternate process (Method B) is available that uses only the system Course Registration Program for the complete course creation, enrollment, completion and approval processes. The alternate Method B uses the Employee Enrollment button and the Completion button from the Course Registration Program.
