Authorization of Recurrent Items

Once an item is displayed in the Recurrent Item Authorization Explorer they can be authorized to the Tech Support Disposition Explorer.

In Reliability/Explorer/Recurrent Item Authorization Explorer the recurrent items that were marked as either Chronic or Alert will be displayed together with the Defect Reports that triggered the alert:

In order to authorize an item, select into the Recurrent Item line. The Recurrent Items Authorization window will open:

In the upper section of the window, basic information about the Recurrent Item is provided, such as the Recurrent Item Number, the effected ATA Chapter/ Section, the effected aircraft etc. The bottom part of the window shows the Defect Reports associated with the Recurrent Item. There are two categories: Dropped Defect Reports and Recurrent Defect Reports. The Defect Reports can be moved between those two categories by drag-and-drop. In the center of the window, the Authorization Status radio buttons allow users to decide the further procedure with the Recurrent Item.

By default, all items are brought in with the status 'Open'. The user can then decide to either reject or authorize the item:

Open

The item stays in the authorization queue without any other action taken.

Rejected

The recurrent item will not be displayed in the Tech Support Disposition Explorer. It remains in Reliability / Update / Recurrent Items only.

Authorized

The recurrent item will be moved to the Tech Support Disposition Explorer.

When an Item is set to Authorized, they can be managed through the Tech Support Disposition Explorer.
