Order Authorization via the Order Authorization Option

The Order Authorization option allows for the authorization of Orders that require authorization by users who have a 'higher' security clearance (i.e. Orders that have been created by users who have exceeded their authorization limit).

For example, the user who creates the Order may not have security clearance to authorize Orders over a certain dollar amount. In this case, the Order will appear in this queue. A user with a higher security clearance will access this Order Authorization via Order/Update and may perform the authorization as necessary.

The security clearance is specified in System Administration/Explorer/Security/Explorer.

Orders will not be printable unless authorized.

Confirm that the user who is performing this transaction has the proper authority to do so (Settings/Update/Authorization) before proceeding.

Go to Orders/Update/Order Authorization. The system displays the following screen:
