Set Switch to Enable P/N APU Reading

The Switch Technical Records/ APUREAD (APU Reading Time Control Definition) (via System Administration/ Explorer/ System Transaction Configuration) controls how the Hours Factor and Cycles Factor fields operate. The following is the definition of the switch.

All APUs must be defined as such via Settings/ Update/ P/N/ Technical Engineering tab/ Tech-CTL drop down. The appropriate time control for that APU must also be defined via Settings/ Update/ P/N/ P/N Control button.

If set to YES, APU readings will be updated via the Technical Records/ Update/ P/N APU Reading option. Specify the P/N Control (TSN, TSO, etc.) that will store the hours and cycles for the APU in the Config Other field. Note that the P/N APU Reading option will not be available if this switch is set to NO. If set to NO, all APU hours and cycles will update according to values entered in the Hours Factor and Cycles Factor fields (Settings/ Update/ P/N / Technical Engineering Tab) of the APU part.

To set the switch, go to System Administration/ Explorer/ System Transaction Configuration/ Technical Records/ APUREAD, select and choose Update Record.

Click on the Configuration Tab. In the Config Other field, you will designate the Time Control that will be used to store the APU readings. In the above example, we have chosen TSN. Any Part Number Time Control can be used in this field. Set the Config Flag to YES.

Once the switch has been set to enable the P/N APU Reading option, the specific APU (part) must be set up.

Note: Changing Technical Records switch APUREAD between No and Yes will change which tables are being utilized to track APU data and may therefore require conversions from TRAX Programming to be applied when switching from one method to another.
