The E-mail Request Type is used to add people to a Read & Sign request who are not User. The system will send an E-mail Read & Sign Request to an E-Mail Address. The recipient of the e-mail can reply to the E-mail Request or click a link to go to a web log. The e-mail reply or web log submission will be received by the system. The System must be set up to send e-mails for Read & Sign Requests. It must also be set up to receive E-Mail Read & Sign replies or Web Log Read & Sign replies. For more detailed information on System Setup refer to the Settings Training Manual and the System Administration Training Manual. Set up the System for E-Mail Request types as follows: 1. Get a dedicated e-mail address for Read & Sign from your System Administrator. (Example: readandsign@mycompany.com). 2. Set up the e-mail address and password in System Transaction Configuration as follows: a. Go to System Administration / Explorer / System Transaction Configuration / Library. b. Select the Read & Sign Email Address Switch and enter the e-mail address in the Config Other Field. c. Select the Read & Sign Email Password Switch and enter the password in the Config Other Field. 3. Set up the Company Profile to send and receive e-mails or web logs as follows: a. Go to Settings / Update / Company Profile (Servers Tab). b. Enter the Web Server Address. c. Enter the POP3 Server Address. d. Enter The SMTP Server Address. Add email address to the Read & Sign as follow: From the Read & Sign Detail window, select the New The following information/options are available in this window: Request No. The request number is automatically assigned by the system. Request Status The status of the Read & Sign. For additional information, refer to the Read & Sign Detail, General Tab, via Read and Sign which can be found in the Library Training manual. Requester Type Once a Read & Sign is created, the user must add requests to the Read & Sign. E-Mail Requester Type - An E-Mail Request Type is for a person outside the eMRO System who will receive a Read & Sign Request by E-Mail. The recipient will reply to the e-mail or will click a link to a web log. The E-Mail reply or the web log will then be automatically received by the eMRO System to close the Read & Sign Request.
