Performing the Audit, Second Extension Granted

If a Second Extension must be granted for the Audit, the Audit Step must be updated via Quality Assurance/Update/Audit Creation/Following. Find the Audit which you are updating. Click on the Extension Tab to view Steps within the Audit that have been granted extensions.

Granted radio button - If a Second Extension should be granted, click on the Granted radio button.

Finding Extension Days – Enter the number of days for the Second Extension. Note that the number of days is the total number granted. This number of days is not added to the previous number of Corrective Action Due days. The number of days in the Finding Extension will override the Corrective Action Due days. The system will add the number of Finding Extension days to the Finding Date to create a new due date. This date will then be the next due date for the Audit. The Audit Tracking Reports will indicate this.
